InformationSkull Base Surgery underwent significant changes during the last decades. The increasing advancements in the fields of neurosurgery and otorhinolaryngology have challenged surgeons from both specialties to keep up with the rapid technological progress such as operations based on 4K or 3D endoscopy and robotic-assisted skull base surgery. The skull base represents the interface of an intense interdisciplinary collaboration between otorhinolaryngology and neurosurgery. Therefore, this course focuses on the complex anatomy of the skull base and adjacent anatomical structures, i.e. sinuses and orbit, as well as surgical treatment strategies for lesions in this challenging area. Being the highlight of this course, participants will spend 15 hours of hands-on training on cadavers. An excellent international faculty from Graz, Erfurt, Munich, Brescia, Padua, Varese, and Essen will provide an intensive step-by-step teaching. Additionally, an outstanding technical support including real time navigation for all specimens, HD/3D visualization, 4K endoscopy, robotic systems as well as high speed drills will be available.

Informationhis intensive two-day masterclass in Frontal Sinus Surgery will focus on frontal sinus dissection using cutting edge 3D printed anatomical models. Our multi-material models provide different anatomical grades of frontal sinus complexity and therefore enable the participants to approach the frontal sinus in a stepwise approach. This workshop will mainly concentrate on the hands-on-step-by step-surgical dissection performed by the participants with close supervision from world renowned faculty. InformationThis course builds on the foundations laid at the Sinus Anatomy and Surgery Instructional Course and is therefore a seemless transition for those who have previously attended the basic course. The Advanced FESS Course is tailored to ENT doctors (ST6 - ST8, Speciality Doctors, Associate Specialists, Senior Clinical Fellows) who are at the latter part of their training or require training in more advanced endoscopic sinus procedures. The course programme is designed to be clincally-focused and is aligned to the ISCP ENT curriculum. The course aims to enhance existing competencies with particular emphasis on safe techniques in endoscopic sinus surgery. The surgical concepts of the Full-House FESS will be taught, as will peri-operative management to optimise clinical outcomes. In addition, the course programme will include CSF leak repair, introduction to frontal sinus surgery and management of intra-operative complications. Unlike other courses, the CSF leak module simulates an active leak thereby enhancing the realism of this training module. The course programme is mapped to the ISCP curriculum and includes up to 14 hours in the laboratory. Delegates will have assigned trainers throughout the course and are expected to be assessed against relevant endoscopic sinus surgery simulated PBAs on the ISCP curriculum. The programme provides ample time for paced, structured learning as well as close interaction with experienced faculty to achieve professional development goals necessary for all senior ENT trainees and generalists. Surgical dissection will be undertaken on Fusetec 3-D printed models in the state-of-the-art Human Anatomy and Resource Centre of the University of Liverpool. The course is limited to 30 hands-on spaces and due to the unique nature of this course, early registration is recommended.
