The author presents the critical review of Vidian neurectomy since 1961. Golding-
Wood (1961, 1962) recommended this type of operation in vasomotor rhinitis. Many
authors modified this operation. The author concludes that Vidian neurectomy is
indicated in the cases of vasomotor rhinitis with profuse secretion refractory to conservative
treatment.
