As you all know, ERS 2016 will take place in Stockholm (3-7th July) and ERS 2018 in London (22-26th April). The venue for 2020 will be decided in Stockholm and we are therefore, asking for bids to be submitted to the General Secretary (v.lund@ucl.ac.uk) by a deadline of June 1st 2016. The submission should be made by the respective ERS delegate for the country concerned ie a country with at least 10 ERS full members at the time of the submission and he or she will be responsible for the organisation of the congress which will be held in the country where they reside.
In the past we have tried whenever possible to move the congress around Europe, from north to south and east to west and would therefore, particularly encourage candidates from southern or eastern Europe to apply for 2020. The submission should include outline information on the proposed venue, possible dates and the local support that is available from colleagues and national societies. A short formal presentation will be required at the Advisory Board meeting in Stockholm.
